NFL Week 12: How do the Titans Score Today?
To the new subscribers I welcome you. Through 11 weeks we are hitting at 65% in the NFL at a record of 22-12. Last week we put together a nice 2-1 day hitting on Minnesota and Pittsburgh while dropping the Panthers against Washington in the Riverboat Ron revenge game. I have gotten this record by taking a plethora of great underdogs, but this week I actually have three favorites for you guys. Let’s start with Belichick’s team in Foxborough.
Play of the Week #1: New England -7 vs. Tennessee
I get the temptation to take Tennessee here given they have largely played to the level of their competition, with inexplicable losses against Houston and NYJ while beating the Rams, Chiefs, and Bills. But this Patriots team might just be playing the best football in the NFL and the Titans are incredibly banged up. They will enter this game with Derrick Henry, Julio Jones, and AJ Brown all on IR. This team had Derrick Henry but was missing those two receivers when they played at New York in week 4 and had 9 points entering the 4th quarter. Since they lost Henry, they have really struggled against Houston, New Orleans, and Los Angeles to score points. Remember, they essentially had two pick sixes (one was stopped at the one yard line) against the Rams that helped contribute to their 28 points. I just can’t see how this team scores now on the road against a top tier defense considering their recent struggles and not having their three best offensive weapons. I can see the Patriots suffocating this Titans offense and covering with relative ease in this one.
Play of the Week #2: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3 @ Indianapolis Colts
Do not overreact week to week in the NFL! The Colts were unbelievable a week ago as Jonathan Taylor rushed for 5 touchdowns. That means you have to sell high on Indy. You know what the Bucs defend really well? The running game. They have the number one ranked rushing defense in the NFL this year. That means Carson Wentz is going to have to make plays with his arm and I can count on him making bad decisions when push comes to shove. This Buccaneers team has gotten healthy these past couple of weeks and should start rounding into form here to make another deep playoff run and I think they can cover 3 here on the road. I also like that I am betting Tom Brady to continue to torment this Colts franchise, which for some reason he probably still loves to do since he is psychotic.
Play of the Week #3: San Francisco -3.5 vs. Minnesota.
I have been on the Vikings for three straight weeks in this newsletter for you guys and now it is time to go against them. This is a classic let down spot for me. Coming off of a very emotional win over your biggest rival and then having to travel on the road against a 49ers team that has really turned their season around is a tough spot to perform in. Where I love the 49ers in this matchup is that the 49ers defense is tremendous against the pass ranking third in NFL. That is where the Vikings like to do damage. I also like that the 49ers have gotten much healthier on offense by getting George Kittle back a few weeks ago, and have really found an identity. I love the way they have featured Deebo Samuel as a back and a receiver and they have made life easy on Jimmy G in recent weeks. I like them to exploit a Vikings defense that ranks 25th against the rush and help us get a win and a cover of 3.5 here.
If you like the picks make sure to share with a friend! Also feel free to leave any feedback I love interacting with everyone. You can also follow me on my Action network HERE. You can see how I bet throughout the week and if there are any plays I add after the newsletter is sent out. For example, I bet Georgia -4 for the SEC championship next week, and the line has already shot up to -6 in favor of the Bulldogs. Let’s stay hot in the NFL this week and keep making dough.
